Short version: AI Stats runs entirely on your device. There is no AI Stats account and no AI Stats server. Your credentials and usage history stay on your Mac, iPhone or iPad. The Mac app sends anonymous crash reports and anonymous feature-usage counts, never linked to you, never used for tracking, and you can switch them off in Settings → General. The iPhone and iPad app sends nothing. This website counts page views on our own server, without cookies (section 7).
1. Who we are
AI Stats ("the app") is developed and published by Kuray Öğün, trading as Coursion Studio ("we", "us"). Contact: support@coursion.studio.
2. What AI Stats does
AI Stats is a native app for Mac, iPhone and iPad that displays your own usage, limits, and spending across AI services you already have accounts with (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Anthropic API, OpenAI API, Gemini).
3. Data we collect
AI Stats has no backend and no user account system. We never receive your credentials, your usage figures, or anything about your AI accounts.
iPhone and iPad: nothing is collected.
Mac: two kinds of anonymous diagnostics, both on by default and both switched off by the Share anonymous usage & crash data setting in Settings → General:
- Crash reports, sent to Sentry, so we can fix crashes. They contain the stack trace, app version and macOS version. Personal information is excluded.
- Feature-usage counts, sent to PostHog, such as "app launched" or "account added", with the app version. They contain no names, account labels, credentials, usage figures, file paths or content, and are not tied to an identity.
Neither is linked to you or used to track you across apps or websites.
4. Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device:
- Credentials you enter when adding an account — API keys or provider session cookies — are stored in the system Keychain, encrypted by the operating system.
- Usage snapshots (quotas, limits, spending numbers returned by each provider) are cached in a local SwiftData database inside the app's App Group container so that the app and its widget can read the same data.
- Preferences such as notification thresholds, polling pause state, and appearance options are stored in the app's own
UserDefaults.
None of this ever leaves your device.
5. Network traffic
The only network requests the app makes are directly from your device to the AI provider you chose, using credentials you entered for your own account (for example, calls to the Anthropic or OpenAI API, or fetches from the Claude / ChatGPT / Codex / Cursor web sessions you are signed into). AI Stats does not route this traffic through any intermediary. The only other requests are the anonymous Mac diagnostics described in section 3, and App Store purchases, which Apple handles.
6. Tracking, analytics, and advertising
We do not track you, show ads, use advertising frameworks, or fingerprint your device. Apart from the anonymous Mac diagnostics in section 3, the app collects no analytics. This website counts page views, as described in section 7. The app's privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) declares NSPrivacyTracking = false, with crash data and product interaction listed as not linked to you and not used for tracking.
7. This website
We count page views on this website so we know whether anyone is reading. The counting is done by our own server, Polaris, which runs on Google Cloud Run in Belgium. No analytics company is involved. There are no cookies, nothing is saved in your browser, and nothing follows you to other sites.
For each view the counter records the page path and, if there is one, the domain you arrived from. To count a visitor once per day rather than once per page, it computes a one-way hash of the date, the site, your IP address and your browser's user agent. Your IP address itself is never written down, and the hash is deleted after two days. What remains is a daily count of views and visitors per page.
The website is served by GitHub Pages, which may log requests (such as your IP address) as part of running that service, under GitHub's own privacy statement.
8. Children's privacy
AI Stats is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Data deletion
To remove all AI Stats data from your device, delete any accounts from within the app (this removes their Keychain entries) and then delete the app. We hold nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
10. Third-party services
When you add an account, AI Stats communicates with the AI provider you selected. That provider's privacy policy governs their handling of your account. Anonymous Mac diagnostics go to Sentry and PostHog as described in section 3. AI Stats does not sell or share data with anyone else.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, note them in the app's release notes.
